Happy Sunday! Unfortunately, I had a catastrophe involving volunteering at church this morning. The snow made it unruly outside and really put a wretch in those plans. I was pretty bummed, but it was nothing a trip to a new Chicago fav, Diner Grill, couldn’t fix.
I can finally say that LV and I are no longer sick. It was a rough few weeks and I appreciate you bearing with me through the inconsistencies. This weekend, I’ve mostly been curled up on the couch with a few new books. It’s nice to not have crazy, busy weekends and I’m thankful for the time I have to re-group and relax.
This was a pretty good month of reading. I most of the books I read, but I'm not too picky with books (I made a vow to myself to be a bit pickier with books this year!) I would recommend everything except The French Girl - it's not good, just don't. My goal this year is to read 24 books, but I'm on track to read well over that. Yay! Don't forget, you can always follow me on Goodreads to get real time updates on what I'm reading.
Hellloooooo 2019! I’m ready for you!
I initially had this post completed last week, but when I went to save it, the page refreshed and didn’t end up saving. Ugh! Technology... I mourned the loss with a bath, book, and bottle of wine. My favorite three B’s.
I digress... This year I decided to forgo the traditional New Year’s Resolutions and instead do 101 things in 1001 days. I got this idea from Day Zero Project and Mackenzie. I’m excited because they range from very mundane, everyday things (waking up at 5:30am for two weeks) to extravagant things I may never get to (traveling to a new continent!)
