Happy Sunday! Unfortunately, I had a catastrophe involving volunteering at church this morning. The snow made it unruly outside and really put a wretch in those plans. I was pretty bummed, but it was nothing a trip to a new Chicago fav, Diner Grill, couldn’t fix.
I can finally say that LV and I are no longer sick. It was a rough few weeks and I appreciate you bearing with me through the inconsistencies. This weekend, I’ve mostly been curled up on the couch with a few new books. It’s nice to not have crazy, busy weekends and I’m thankful for the time I have to re-group and relax.
Workouts, on the whole, are going great. This week is the week that I really try to step them up. I’m going to be starting BBG on Monday and adding in a few classes, time on the elliptical, and thigh/hip work. Hopefully I’m not too worn out by the end of the week!
Eating has been going better, but it’s not perfect. I am finally finding a routine which helps me fast one day a week, and I can tell my body appreciates that. Sugar and carbs are still a struggle for me, but I can see myself learning from my mistakes and eating them less and less. It’s all about moderation, right?!
As always, I’d love to hear how you’re doing health-wise in this new year! I’ll be giving away some treats to a few readers who comment on this post and let me know how they’re doing.
Saturday // Dance Body class
Sunday // kickboxing class
Tuesday // elliptical
Wednesday // elliptical
Thursday // elliptical
I did not track my meals this week as I felt stressed balancing work and home life and needed to cut something out. I’m glad I didn’t because I think it would’ve put me over the edge BUT I am getting back in the routine of doing that this week for the last three weeks of the challenge.
Pretty obsessed with Outdoor Voices lately and these joggers are calling my name. A few people have even styled them to wear to work and I’m not above it.
I typically only buy three things for wardrobe/beauty routine each month - one workout piece, one beauty piece, and one work piece. I think in March I’m going to grab this depuffing mask. I’ve heard great things!
In an effort to try to wash my hair less, I loved reading Bridget’s hair training technique.
Love this post by Jess on health and body image.
Workout five times between now and next Friday.
Cook dinner at home four days this week.
Buy something new for yourself and have zero regret!
