2017 Favs //
Lake Pajamas // Lake pajamas are BY FAR the coziest piece of clothing I've ever owned. They are a bit on the pricier side, but I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to look cute all while feeling cozy in bed. I would recommend sizing up!
Coconut La Croix // Hear me out... I am not a La Croix fan. I am also not a coconut fan. However, I could drink 12 cans of Coconut La Croix per day. It's the weirdest thing.
Chanel Flats // This is more of a frivolous purchase, and they were a gift, but I always feel like a model when I throw on my Chanel flats. They don't feel like slippers on your feet, but they aren't uncomfortable either. I would highly recommend if you are in the market for a luxurious pair of shoes!
Bath Time // In 2017 I got hooked on baths. I used to think they were really gross. Now, I love laying in the bath with a good book or a new Netflix show and relaxing for 30 minutes. I either use this bubble bath or epsom salt with essential oils if I run earlier that day.
Alexa // "Alexa, what time is it?" This is by far my most frequently asked question. I LOVE my Alexa. I really don't know how I lived without her. My mom came to visit me and when she returned home she missed Alexa so much she bought one for herself. I do find it a bit creepy that she records everything I say, and it's intriguing there have been murder trials recently where evidence from Alexa was found admissible. #futurelawyer However, I doubt I'll ever find myself in that situation, so I'm still Team Alexa.
Quip // Quip is an electric toothbrush subscription service and it rocks my world. It sends you a replacement every 3 months because that's when dentists recommend you need to change your brush head. I bought the gold color and it looks fabulous in my bathroom. The price is between an electric toothbrush you can buy at Target and a high-end electric toothbrush like Sonicare. I would recommend Quip if you're looking for something priced in the middle. Speaking of, I use this teeth whitening pen. It has zero sensitivity and it really works. Also, Hello toothpaste is my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE toothpaste ever!
Dimple Asha Prints // Dimple makes the best personalized prints. She drew one of myself and we got one made for my friend, Ellie. They make great gifts! Plus, Dimple is an absolute joy to work with!
MAC Lipstick // The South is full of big hair and lipstick. Chicago is full of big coats and snow boots. Needless to say, I fell off the lipstick wagon when I moved to Chicago. However, 2017 was the year I really got into it again. My three favorite colors? Snob, Ruby Woo, and Twig.
Nutpods // I love sugary coffee creamer. My waistline does not. It is always a struggle drinking black coffee then I found Nutpods! They are a dairy free creamer AND Whole30. Win win. My favorite flavor is Hazelnut.
2018 Wish List //
Savvy Sleepers // These are a bit on the expensive side, but I've heard they really help your blowouts last. I'm trying to wash my hair less (ugh, it's a struggle) BUT I think these may help! Plus, they're anti-aging.
Glossier // I've heard great things about Glossier but I have yet to try their makeup. Everyone I've talked to that's used it is obsessed with it. Boy Brow and Cloud Paint are on my list!
AirPods // I tested out my friends AirPods and let's just say... they are the funkiest but coolest invention I've seen from Apple yet!
Letter Board // I think these are so fun! Of course I'd want it in PINK!
GloPRO // I'll be honest, the thought of rolling 540 tiny needles all over my face scares me. However, there are numerous benefits of microneedling including: an increase in collagen production, reducing wrinkles and fine lines, improving scars, and preventing signs of aging. I can get on board with all that! GloPRO specifically has a red LED light which stimulate cell growth. This is quite an investment purchase, so I plan to buy it during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in July. If you've ever used this device, or something similar, then let's chat about it!
ClassPass // I just signed up for ClassPass! It's my first time and I am doing 5 classes per month. Since I am running so much I hope to work Pilates classes into my routine to strengthen my core.
Ember Mug // This was TIME's Best Invention of 2017. You set the temperature you want your coffee or tea to be and the mug keeps it at that temperature. No more cold coffee by the time I've walked to work?! If that isn't the best sentence you've ever read then I don't know what is.
Black Boots // Forever crushing on Tory Burch riding boots, but lately Tory Burch's quality has really been lacking. I need black riding boots to wear to work with tights and pencil skirts, so I'm looking to snag some up in 2018. I'm hoping to find a pair I love from Tory Burch or buy some from J.Crew or Frye. Any suggestions?!
Native Natural Deodorant // I love essential oils. I despise all natural cleaning products. However, I have heard great things about Native's natural deodorant. I'm not totally gung-ho on all natural everything, but with all the articles written about the possible link to deodorants and breast cancer I figured I could at least go all natural in this area of my life. I'm not sure when I'll try it out, but it's on my list for 2018.
Roomba // Lazy Ellen meet your new BFF.
