Whenever I think of springy outfits I think of bright scarves, big earrings, and fun wedges. [Revolutionary, right?!] However, now that I'm in my mid-twenties, I want to invest in classic pieces that are warm enough for cold, spring days and I can wear for years to come. This isn't to say that I don't invest in fun dresses or tops, but I am trying to spend less on trendy pieces and more on classic, statement pieces.
Above you'll find some of my favorites. There are always less expensive options to the items above. If you are on a budget, I suggest Old Navy, J.Crew Factory, and Uniqlo for clothing items and Amazon for shoes and jewelry. I found all the items above at J.Crew or Nordstrom.
Cuyana has a great brand mission about "lean closets." They want women to focus on buying and owning only what they love, and to take all those forgotten pieces they've accumulated and gift them to others who can use them. (source) This is a great philosophy that I am trying to carry out with my closet. I hope that the pieces above give me a great starting point to a "leaner closet" and I hope this gives you inspiration to have a leaner closet, as well!
